Bringing Heaven to Earth & The Intermediate Heaven.

My new book: Bringing Heaven to Earth & The Intermediate Heaven has two main themes. The first theme is from Matthew 6:10; “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” I first read about bringing heaven to earth in N. T. Wright’s book Surprised by Hope. Then many years later I read Dr. Chauncey Crandall’s book Touching Heaven that was a wonderful story about how Dr. Crandall learned, through the tragedy of his son’s death, to bring a touch of heaven to many people. I was motivated to share Wright’s idea and Dr. Crandalll’s experience and to share my thoughts about bringing heaven to earth.

The second theme is to share my thoughts about how wonderful the Intermediate Heaven is that we go to today when we die if we are followers of Jesus. I read John Burke’s book Imagine Heaven where he shared over 100 stories of people who had near-death experiences (NDEs) - when they clinically died,, were resuscitated and reported to have visited heaven. The reports from these people about heaven were remarkably similar. Using some of these reports and my own active imagination I wrote three fictional chapters where my pen name, Andrew Norton, dies and goes to the Intermediate Heaven. The first of these chapters has Andrew dying and then we follow him through his first day in heaven. The next chapter continues to follow Andrew through his next six days in heaven, completing his first week in heaven. The last chapter occurs about two weeks after Andrew gets to heaven and is about his meeting with Jesus to select his job in heaven. I pray that reading this book encourages you to stay the course with Jesus, helping to bring heaven to earth, and that you will then get to experience the real Intermediate Heaven and that you will find it even better than my depiction of it.
