About
Douglas M Webb
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, raised in Southeast Kansas, and attended Kansas University. I graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and as an Ensign in the US Navy. After four years on active duty I returned to civilian life and resumed my Engineering career which quickly turned into supervision, managerial and then executive positions. I was raised in a Catholic home and was a committed Catholic until I made a big mistake and I fell away from the church. I didn’t find God again until many years later in 2003, one year after I retired. We both found God, because my wife Judi started a class in Bible Study Fellowship in the Fall of 2002. Starting in 2006 I went on my first mission trip followed by another 12 trips over the years. In the Fall of 2009, I started going to Fuller Seminary and graduated with an MA in Theology in 2016. For another two years I attended The King’s University Seminary, in Southlake, TX.
Between my wife Judi and I we have six children, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. We also have a Black Lab/German Shepherd mix that we rescued eight years ago, named Toby, who we absolutely love.
I wrote my memoirs during the month of October 2023, and I really enjoyed writing them. I then took on writing Cliff Notes for two books, Strange New World by Carl Trueman and Imagine Heaven by John Burke. Again, the writing I really enjoyed. I am continuing with writing projects that you will find on the Writings page. When the Israel Hamas conflict started on October 7, 2023, it came to my mind very quickly that this could actually be the start of the war prophesied in Ezekiel 38 & 39, the Gog Magog war. I was inspired to write a book that captured what would be happening soon. But God had something else in mind for Israel and I had to abandon that book idea. My current book effort is discussed on the New Book page.
